These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Lingom’s website, mobile applications (including iOS and Android), Telegram bot and Mini App, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Vantinent (“Lingom”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
Your account
You may sign in using email, Google, Apple, Telegram, or other methods we support. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may delete your account as described on our account deletion page or by contacting us.
License to use the Service
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your own learning. You may not copy, redistribute, sublicense, sell, rent, or create derivative works from the Service except as expressly permitted by us or by applicable law.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other users’ accounts, or data;
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the normal operation of the Service;
- Upload or transmit malware, spam, or harmful content;
- Abuse referral, rewards (“Lings”), streak, or ranking features through automation or fraud.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the Service or other users.
Learning content and progress
Lingom provides vocabulary lessons, video examples, review tools, streaks, rankings, and related features. Content is provided for educational purposes. We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes, exam results, or fluency levels.
Progress data, streaks, Lings balances, and similar in-app metrics may change as we improve the Service. We may modify, reset, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practicable.
Purchases, subscriptions, and virtual items
Lingom may offer Premium subscriptions, Lings packs, and other paid features. Prices, billing periods, and included benefits are shown in the Service before you complete a purchase. Payment processing is handled by the platform you use:
- Apple App Store — subscriptions and in-app purchases billed through your Apple ID;
- Google Play — subscriptions and in-app purchases billed through your Google Play account;
- Telegram — certain purchases may be completed with Telegram Stars in our bot or Mini App.
Auto-renewing subscriptions. Premium subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price shown at purchase. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Deleting your Lingom account stops further Google Play Premium renewals when we have a recorded Play purchase; App Store billing must still be canceled in Apple settings.
Restore purchases. On iOS and Android, you may use “Restore Purchases” in the app while signed in with the same account you used to subscribe.
Refunds. Payments made through Apple or Google are subject to those platforms’ refund policies. For Telegram Stars purchases, contact us if you believe a charge was made in error. Except where required by law, all sales are final once digital content or access has been delivered.
Lings and other virtual items have no real-world monetary value, are non-transferable, and may not be exchanged for cash. We may change pricing, packs, or rewards with reasonable notice where practicable.
Third-party services
The Service integrates with third parties such as Apple, Google, Telegram, app stores, analytics, authentication, and hosting providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies. You agree to comply with all applicable third-party terms when using the Service (for example, your wireless or data service agreement, Apple Media Services Terms, Google Play Terms, or Telegram’s terms). We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, software, branding, and curated content, is owned by Lingom or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Maintenance and support
We are solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for the Service, as described in these Terms or as required by applicable law. You may contact us at [email protected] or visit our Support page.
Apple App Store (iOS)
If you download or use Lingom from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply. In the event of a conflict between this section and the rest of these Terms, this section controls for your use of the iOS app:
- Acknowledgement. These Terms are between you and Vantinent only, not Apple Inc. (“Apple”). Vantinent, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Lingom iOS application and its content. These Terms may not conflict with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions or Usage Rules.
- Scope of license. Your license to the iOS app is limited to a non-transferable license to use the app on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including access via Family Sharing or volume purchasing where applicable.
- Maintenance and support. Vantinent is solely responsible for maintenance and support of the iOS app. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the app.
- Warranty. Vantinent is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty are Vantinent’s sole responsibility.
- Product claims. Vantinent, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the iOS app or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, failure to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation. Nothing in these Terms limits Vantinent’s liability to you beyond what applicable law permits.
- Intellectual property. In the event of any third-party claim that the iOS app or your possession and use of it infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights, Vantinent, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Developer contact. Any questions, complaints, or claims regarding the iOS app should be directed to Vantinent using the contact details in the “Operator and contact” section above.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the iOS app (for example, your wireless data service agreement).
- Third-party beneficiary. You and Vantinent acknowledge and agree that Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms as they relate to your use of the iOS app, and that upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Google Play (Android)
If you download or use Lingom from Google Play, purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Payment Services according to Google Play Terms of Service. Vantinent is responsible for the app and its content; Google is not a party to these Terms. Refund requests for Google Play purchases should be directed to Google in accordance with Google’s policies, or to us if you need help identifying your purchase.

Telegram
If you use Lingom through Telegram (including our bot @lingomBot or Mini App), you must also comply with Telegram’s terms and policies. Telegram is not a party to these Terms. Purchases made with Telegram Stars are subject to Telegram’s rules for digital goods and Stars. We do not control Telegram’s platform and are not responsible for outages, policy changes, or account actions taken by Telegram.
Web
When you use Lingom through our website, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Some features may require signing in with a supported provider. We may use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vantinent and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD $50, except where a higher minimum liability is required by applicable law (including mandatory consumer rights).
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in our place of operation, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide you with non-waivable rights, those rights remain unaffected.
